Richard was my manager when I started working at Candler Hospital. He was fair, compassionate, and was an inspiring mentor who required excellence from his staff at all times. His knowledge of all things Respiratory Therapy related was legendary in the field. I was blessed to have known him and to have worked as part of his staff.

Please accept my condolences regarding RICHARD. He was one of my favorite people of all time, and I am honored to have been one of his friends and peers (although I consider him peerless). He was a wonderful teacher, troubleshooter when things were tough, and always added valuable insights to any situation. If everyone had anywhere near his heart, work ethic, temperament, etc. there would be no unsolved problems and no trouble at all in the world. We should all aspire to be like him and to be going where he is going. Sincerely, Giff Lorenz
